Series 1 Essential: Shutdown Procedure

        [Taken from Extending the life of your RENESIS]
  • Before turning the engine off: rev to 3500~ and turn the ignition off.
    • This moves any unburnt fuel out of the combustion chamber.
  • Next start up should be smoother than starting normally after sitting.

Quick De-flood Procedure

  1. Turn the car on accessory, do not start the engine.
  2. Press both the clutch and the gas pedals, fully.
  3. Crank the engine for 3 second bursts.
  4. Optionally, route the washer fluid tank hose into the maintenance port - spray while cranking the engine, repeat so both sides have been sprayed.
  5. Start the engine normally, de-carb the motor by warming it up and driving it over 7,000 rpms.

Full De-flood Procedure

  1. Remove spark plugs.
  2. Remove fuel pump relay.
  3. Crank 4~6 seconds at a time, until all excess fuel is removed (out of the spark plug holes).
  4. Reinstall spark plugs and relay.
  5. Start the engine normally, de-carb the motor by warming it up and driving it over 7,000 rpms.

ESS Reset

  • Turn the car on accessory, do not start the engine.
  • Press the brake pedal 20 times within 8 seconds of turning the car on.
  • If done right the oil pressure gauge will sweep.

Coil Pack Connectors

  • Front Leading = Green
  • Front Trailing = White
  • Rear Leading = Yellow/Green
  • Rear Trailing = Blue/Orange
